Intellectual Property Policy

Clear answers on ownership: what belongs to GrowNagar, what becomes yours when you pay for a project, how open-source and third-party parts work, and how to report misuse of your content.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

Why this matters

When you pay for a website or an app, you want to know it is truly yours. When we build our own products, we need to protect years of work. This policy explains ownership in simple terms. Your signed proposal, quotation or agreement with GrowNagar gives the final details for your project. If it says something different from this page, the agreement applies.

What belongs to GrowNagar

  • The GrowNagar name, logo, taglines and brand design.
  • The content, design, graphics, text and code of our websites.
  • Our own products and platforms, including any software we offer on a subscription basis, and all updates to them.
  • Our reusable tools, code libraries, templates, frameworks, methods and know-how that we have built or improve over time and use across many projects ("GrowNagar Tools").

You may not copy, sell, modify or reuse these without our written permission, except for normal personal viewing of our website or as allowed by law. Using a subscription product gives you a right to use it during your subscription. It does not transfer ownership of the product.

What becomes yours: client deliverables

"Deliverables" means the work we create specifically for you under a project, such as a custom website design, custom software code, written content or creative assets made only for your business.

  • Once you have paid in full for a project, ownership of the custom Deliverables passes to you, as set out in your agreement.
  • Until full payment, GrowNagar keeps ownership. We may give you temporary access or a licence to use the work while payments are in progress.
  • Where a Deliverable includes GrowNagar Tools, you get a lasting, non-exclusive licence to use those parts as part of your Deliverable. We keep ownership of the GrowNagar Tools themselves and may use them for other clients.
  • Your agreement will say whether source code is handed over and in what form: source code is handed over on full payment, unless the agreement says otherwise.

Unless you ask us not to in writing, we may mention that we worked with you and show non-confidential parts of the work (such as a screenshot of a public website) in our portfolio. We will never share your confidential data.

Open-source and third-party components

Modern software is built using well-tested open-source libraries and third-party services. Your project may include:

  • Open-source software, which stays under its own licence (such as MIT, Apache or GPL). You must follow those licence terms, and ownership does not transfer to you or to us.
  • Licensed items such as paid themes, plugins, fonts, stock photos or icons. These are used under the licence terms of their owners. Some need renewal or are licensed per site.
  • Third-party platforms such as the WhatsApp Business Platform, Google services, cloud hosting or payment gateways, which you use under their own terms.

We aim to choose components with licences suitable for business use and can share a list of key components on request.

Materials you give us

  • You keep ownership of everything you provide to us, such as your logo, product photos, text, customer data and documents.
  • You give us permission to use these materials only as needed to deliver your project or service.
  • You confirm that you own these materials or have the right to use them, and that using them will not break anyone else's rights. If a claim arises because of materials you supplied, you are responsible for it.

Third-party trademarks and logos

Our website may show names and logos such as WhatsApp, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, Google, Google Ads and others. These trademarks belong to their respective owners. We show them only to indicate the platforms and technologies we work with or integrate. Their use does not mean these companies endorse, sponsor or partner with GrowNagar.

Respecting other people's rights

We do not knowingly use content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, and we ask our clients and users to do the same. Misuse of others' intellectual property is not allowed under our Acceptable Use Policy.

Reporting infringement and takedown requests

If you believe content on our website, or content hosted through our Services, infringes your intellectual property, please write to hello@grownagar.in with:

  1. Your name and contact details.
  2. A description of the work you believe is being infringed.
  3. The exact web address (URL) or location of the content.
  4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised.
  5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

We will review your request and, where appropriate, remove or disable the content and inform the person who posted it. Where content belongs to one of our clients, we may pass your notice to them. Please do not send false claims, as they may carry legal consequences.

If you would like to use our name or logo, for example to say a website was built by GrowNagar, please ask first at hello@grownagar.in. A small "Built by GrowNagar" credit on a website we built may be included where agreed with you.
